a day in a life 2009.05.27
via @
fractalnavel
: in the last 24 hours:
2009.05.27 19:40
: got to bed at 2a; up at 6a (wtf?!); silly perl cvrap in my head; done at 3p (well, 90% @
8:30a, another 6 hours for the last 10%)
2009.05.27 19:42
: well, ok - a lot of that was probably dinkin' around i didn't need to do, test case for oddball outlier...
2009.05.27 19:44
: and here's the kicker: i'm unemployed ;-) shouldn't i be in tahiti or something ?
2009.05.27 19:46
: sometimes the only way to clear my mind is to sit down & do some non-stop coding.

I read that if you don't code in perl for a week you will have to relearn it all again
beats the rope burns ;-)
2009.05.27 21:59
: "Users simply pay a set fee to Contenture on a monthly basis, and that money is automatically distributed to the sites they visit."
2009.05.27 21:59
: i - don't -
think
- so
2009.05.27 21:59
: maan - pizza grease on the keyboard - more - more - i can't stop -
2009.05.27 22:00
: jkl;' ';'p[]
2009.05.27 22:03
: pizza grease wipe == cat on keyboard
2009.05.27 22:13
: "Green-glowing monkeys have green-glowing babies"
http://u.nu/57t7
- will make it easier to find that evil monkey in the closet
2009.05.27 22:16
: you've heard of a "healthy glow", right ? coming soon: diagnostic glows. everyone move aside, there's a neon dude coming down the street

Seems to me that the "Model" in ASP.net MVC can be a webservice. No need to create a pass-through class that does nothing.
yeah, it's pretty thin stuff. too much is convention based. by the time you get to large solutions where you need it, it's unwieldy

default
is another zero-entry, zero-following hole
2009.05.28 00:00
: on automatic / put salad in microwave / mmmm - wilted lettuce
2009.05.28 01:06
: 'goode family': why is liberal satire of conservatives funny, while vice versa is - just
wrong
somehow
2009.05.28 01:07
: i'm not talking ideology, i'm talking formulation of humor
2009.05.28 01:09
: perhaps part of it is that liberals 'get' conservatives, but not the other way around
2009.05.28 01:11
: or perhaps there's something inherently liberal about humor, and the ability to laugh at oneself & others in an understanding way
2009.05.28 01:13
: conservatives
are
usually identified with less tolerant positions, and then there's the intlligence anti-correlation
2009.05.28 01:16
: maybe i shouldn't use left/right typology - how about traditionalst/progressive ? same results.

2009.05.28 01:20
: tv: much less of that lately, startingto find other things to do... however, brain ain't ued to constant use - flabby neurons
2009.05.28 01:22
: i do like the closet carnivore dog
2009.05.28 03:12
: you know how most places have cricket sounds at night ? around here, it's frogs.
