hmm, Expansion of Space puts the observable universe edge at 46.5 biliion lightyears vs 13.7B ly you'd xpect 13.7 billion year old universe.
well, where d'ya s'pose those galaxies have gotten to while that light was reaching us ? they sure weren't just waiting there...

klaatu the catch is that light is "space bound", needs space to propagate, expansion of space can outrun the light
