life on mars finale: sure, it was a dream sequence, still worked out kina cool
Life on Mars: Did he kill himself like he did in the UK original? Also 2nd UK series set in the early 80's, hope they copy it
oh hell, they totally bailed, like flipping everyone off, and deservedly so. they even had a "...and you were there, and you.." line
Life on Mars: Sounds like the Wiz of Oz spoof ending to A Fistful of Yen part of Kentucky Fried movie http://bit.ly/c6sfk
hmm, hadn't considered this: LoM finale aired on april fool's day. but apparently they had intended that ending from the start
  • 2009.04.03 15:24: LoM: funny that people mention "obama's child as president" as a mistake in the finale...
  • 2009.04.03 15:25: ... while no one seems to have noticed the instantaneous communication from earth to mars...
  • 2009.04.03 15:27: ... real elapsed time (round trip) would be anywhere from 6 to 45 minutes, very roughly speaking
  • 2009.04.03 15:31: oh well, on the tv series finale track today: er's started out nicely, just an evening with old friends...
  • 2009.04.03 15:31: ... but continuing carter's angst, and putting him back in the er... that just felt - empty - somehow
  • 2009.04.03 15:33: kudos, however, for not withholding on patient deaths - it was a twofer night ! ;-)

  • 2009.04.03 17:02: lots of pitfalls & potentials; as a professional, how far does one go with this ?
  • 2009.04.03 17:05: and it's not like you can just approach this as a hobbyist.. where's the free-of-charge play area ?
  • 2009.04.03 18:00: fuzzy thoughts on direct vs. indirect monetization...

  • 2009.04.03 18:02: not much different than a floating monetary system
  • 2009.04.03 18:03: maybe madison avenue (and their ilk) is more to blame than wall street

  • 2009.04.03 18:05: revisiting twitter reputation / karma: per item, total & daily scores... hmm...
  • 2009.04.03 18:06: of course, these need to be multi-scale things too. yeah, why do i turn everything into a mmpi-analog ?
  • 2009.04.03 18:07: [me.dailyscore-- for unnecessary tangential comments]
  • 2009.04.03 18:07: man, is self a wicked-tough censor, or what ?
  • 2009.04.03 18:19: gotta say, though, the amazon cloud console still has a lot of "coming soon" features: https://console.aws.amazon.com/
  • 2009.04.03 18:22: i hate when things want my credit card just to register & look around
  • 2009.04.03 18:24: no thanks - i'd want to open a new card/bank account for this purpose; i'm not giving any "on-demand" service access to personal accounts
  • 2009.04.03 18:28: so - they must have a throttle in there someplace, seriously
  • 2009.04.03 18:38: @craigg75 re mobot, amazon cloud may make sense; see also http://aws.amazon.com/publicdatasets/
