that price is without the monitor and mouse. hell yes, that mouse expense will getchya every time !
odd, no mention of a hard drive. those were about 30mb at that time for these "high end" systems.
i think this was the zenith of the desktop computer age, when the price / performance ratio was the largest (barring the earliest entries some years prior). laptops were even more.

big "uh-oh" lately. every time i saw a remotely attractive female form today, i ... felt ... something. since when ? i think it has something to do with weight training and hormones. or maybe it has something to do with the fact that it's been EIGHT YEARS since i last played in that cornfield. apparently some of the crap i went through has been wearing off. need to be careful, don't want to get back into stupid patterns. one cure i've found is that as soon as i get to know someone even a little bit, there's no more attraction. what do you make of that, eh ?
