visitors and other stuff
a very slow period for posting. kind of makes sense as various summer busyness pops up. summer ? wow. half done. too fast, too fast. the boat is still garaged, part sanded. motivation ? none.
had visitors for the last week for nick's goalie camp. different having people around the house, pretty cool, actually. the camp was the focus, so not much got done outside of that, especially being on the other side of town. shopping, a visit to the museum center (space exhibit and omnimax). but for me, spending time around people is “doing something”, and i expect being out of town was the same for the others. fresh ground coffee in the morning, grilling in the evening.
i did get some 'puter work done, archiving the server's full hard drives onto dvd's. these should make their way around the family; they have a little something for everyone, i think. also got some networking taken care of, and some imaging done. still need to do more of that, but things are finally underway in that area.
