to cedar pointe
going to join my brother's family at cedar pointe tomorrow morning. there was a reason i was gettin' jeep all purtied up. not staying anywhere, gonna drive back tomorrow night.
jeep gets a bath, and all fits in the garage
i managed to fit boat, jeep and top in the garage without dangling anything from the ceiling. the only thing that lost a home was bike. there's space, but it's hard to get to. but that _could_ hang somewhere. as a going away present to this place i should put a couple big-ass holes in the living room wall over the couch to put some bike hooks in ;-)
dang, spent from 1pm until now cleaning, waxing and swapping tops on jeep. polished up real nice. too bad about the rust. the thing was still sporting west virginia mountain cinders from the snowstorm i drove through at the beginning of march. still had mud chunks from that mountainside i put it into in january. mostly gone now. that cinder shit is like cement, almost.
man, i wish i had bought me a random orbital buffer years ago. so much easier, does a much better job too, and uses less wax. so now i'm thinking, why was i planning on doing all the boat sanding by hand ? time to look for a proper power tool ;-)
