too many different query languages; they need consolidation
- regular expresions
- structured query language
- css selectors
- xpath
- even caml and things that used to be in the wss (old meaning) [aren't these obsolete now?]
- ...
we need a universal query language, the above all do pretty much the same thing in different environments. i suppose that means everything else needs refactoring as well.
