follow-up on spam action
follow-up notes:
- i put in some minor changes to application logic that should prevent a good deal of trackback and referer spam. just based on simple keyword patterns for now; that list will need to grow as we go along.
- i was wrong about urlscan capabilities as far as pattern matching in urls goes. too bad, because that would be a perfect place for it. i must have been thinking of something else. for now, that leaves the server logs uncovered with respect to referer spam.
that's all for now. i'm sure there will be many more rounds to come. no good way of predicting the form of the next attacks to get through.
