this is cool:
brought to us by 43things.com. there are a lot of collaborative and social activities possible on this site too. lots of ways of cross referencing various things. offering / receiving encouragement, help. teaming. kind of a neat idea. but check out some articles in their “in the news” section; there is some concern that amazon may use it for marketing. i'm like, so what.

dang, that's spooky as hell. it's from Astronomy Picture of the Day today. i sent it to a few people, got some captions back. what are your ideas ? post 'em. i keep thinking of the scifi novel “the mote in god's eye”. the old spacechicken page also came to mind, especially the part where it watches the ant (wait for it).
