you know you are from the "lou" when you travel else where and order a St. Paul sandwich from their chop suey restaurant and they have NO clue about what you're referring to!!

This happen to me when I went to Chicago. I was really upset because I had my mouth set on eating a Chicken St. Paul w/ onion, tomato, lettuce & mayo :)

the triangles with different slopes are the smaller red & green ones within the larger (composite) "triangles". in fact, the composite shapes are _not_ actually triangles. they merely appear that way to the casual observer due to the similar but not congruent shape of the smaller triangles (3x8 and 2x5). the top arrangement (slightly concave upper edge) leaves a rectangular area in the corner of 3x5 = 15 square units; the bottom one (slightly convex) leaves 2x8 = 16 square units.

xslt: interesting technique. all these years, and i didn't know that <xsl:key name="" match="" use=""/> behaved that way with duplicate values.

unfortunately, i can't use that approach when the nodes on which i need keys defined depend on data items (from a separate xml file). the "match" attribute can't be variable, and the "key" element cannot be in a "template" element, only at the "stylesheet" level.

maybe - define a key which contains all possible nodes that may be specified ? hmm...

You haven't been following me on twitter?? The whole sordid story was there. Basically wlw won't start on my machine at work. Gives me a general error message and then closes. MS said to uninstall it and then reinstall it. That didn't work, so I guess I'm out of luck :( I know there's an app called BlogJet I might try to use that's very similar. But the wlw was one of the few freebies I really liked from MS.
